The journey of Nithya Sai Charitable Trust began from a place of compassion and understanding.
In 2001, two dedicated doctors — Dr. Raghavendar Rao (MBBS, Fellowship in Emergency Medicine, Dip. Diabetology) and Dr. Hema Reddy (MD. OBG , Gynecologist , High-Risk Pregnancy Specialist (Masters in Reproductive Medicine, Advanced Fellowship in Infertility & IVF) — established Nithya Sai Hospital in Metpally, Karimnagar District. Their dream was to bring quality healthcare to rural people who had limited access to medical facilities.
They also Coming from middle-class families, both doctors had personally experienced financial struggles. They deeply understood the pain of patients who could not afford medical treatment. Every day at their hospital, they saw people stepping back from life-saving care simply because they didn’t have enough money.
This emotional reality touched their hearts. They realized that healthcare should never depend on wealth — everyone deserves a chance to live a healthy life.
With this belief, in 2002, they established the Nithya Sai Charitable Trust.
The main purpose of the trust was to support poor and underprivileged families, ensuring that no one is denied medical care due to financial constraints.
What started as a small initiative soon grew into a mission of service — providing free medical camps, surgeries, medicines, and extending help to education and community welfare programs.
Through their continued efforts, Dr. Raghavendar Rao and Dr. Hema Reddy transformed their compassion into a lasting legacy of care — a movement dedicated to healing lives and spreading humanity.
Over the years, the Nithya Sai Charitable Trust has completed more than 30,000 surgeries, of which over 3,500 were performed free of cost for poor and underprivileged patients.

Thus, AB Hospital was born — a symbol of progress built on the foundation of service.
